Mark Klinger (he/him) grew up in northeast Ohio where he attended Kent State University and found his passion for writing and history (occasionally mixing the two.) He moved to Philadelphia in 2013 when he and his spouse relocated for Mark’s husband, Joseph, to attend seminary at the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia, now United Lutheran Seminary. Joey is now pastor at Redemption Lutheran Church.
Mark has worked in church administration since his relocation to Philly, previously working on the Bishop’s staff for the Episcopal Diocese doing HR related matters, and more recently as administrator of another ELCA congregation in Philadelphia. He currently serves on the Planning Committee for the Parish Secretaries’ Seminar and on the internal committee for Feast of Justice where he offers his experience in Human Resources.
Mark and Joey live in Rhawnhurst with their dog, Finnegan, and their two cats, Chairman and Eva.
